Hello,
I recently bought an NVME M.2 970 EVO PLUS with the intention of making it my boot drive. At this point I have initialised and formatted it and cloned everything on my HDD onto it using Macrium Reflect. When I enter my bios, there is no apparent option to me that I am able to select that would allow me to set the SSD as the main boot drive.
In the bios, under UEFI boot order; OS boot manager, the only option available is the original HDD.

What steps do I need to take to make the ssd my boot drive? Am I missing something in the bios?

I normally do

(a) Totally remove HDD,

(b) Let machine runs with M.3 SSD for few days or a week,

(b) When happy, format old HDD and put it back.

Regards.

If the only boot drive being recognized to my knowledge is the hdd, wouldn't removing it cause problems.
