Now, I know that Linux isn't really officially supported on the OMEN Series. C'mon. They're gaming PCs. And virtually no one plays games on Linux, do they?
I use Linux for productivity stuff like programming and stuff which is my hobby.
So I'm running Manjaro 18.0.3 Illyria dual-booted with Windows 10. And I used to use Ubuntu 18.10 Cosmic Cuttlefish which this problem used to happen but then magically fixed itself somehow. But I had to switch due to the new Kernel updates breaking the new NVIDIA 415 Drivers.
So, At first when installing the boot process got stuck just like any other Linux distribution I tried. After using the Non-free GPU drivers and disabling ACPI it finally started to install. After that I got a black screen which apparently was fixed with this https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA/Troubleshooting#Black_screen_on_systems_with_Intel_integ...
Now I have one last problem. (which is in the title if you didn't know yet)
How do I boot up without losing the benefits of charging my laptop and not shut the PC down manually like back in the old days without ACPI?
Booting up with ACPI defaulted on results with Linux getting stuck on:
Started TLP system startup/shutdown
wat do? I have the latest firmware update btw. Do I have to downgrade it back or what? I'd just build myself a new custom kernel but I'd risk myself of breaking the entire installation once again if I didn't know what patch I needed for it.
And here's the Screenfetch result if anyone wants to know a bit more(if it even helps):

I'm sorry, but we here are not equipped to provide detailed Linux support.
HP only warranties their PCs for usage with the OS that comes preinstalled. IF you replace that with Linux, or add a Linux OS, then you assume full responsibility for maintaining that -- as HP provides Linux assistance only on Redhat and then only to commercial customers.
Any hardware that does not work will then range from simple (if there are Linux drivers available) to impossible (if there are NO Linux drivers available) to fix.
Since HP does not provide Linux drivers, your best bet for Linux support is to contact the support forum for the Linux distro you are using.
Folks on Linux support forums have experience using a vareity of machines with Linux and know a lot about driver and installation issues. You will be able to get sound and detailed help there.
Good Luck
