my post: No BIOS Update/ System Board ID not found in files
Hello ,
I have done the following:
With a lot of luck and an important tip (Systemboard-ID BIOS /EFI-Partition: 080AE.bin). I was able to perform a BIOS update from F.16 to version F.54. I followed the instructions for a manual installation from the USB stick. Nevertheless, there was a "surprise" that was not in the instructions!
The last screen with the hint to restart did not appear with me! Within 30 seconds the computer should restart or you have to press ENTER for it.
I saw the following notice and waited about 1 ½ hours before I turned off the computer but briefly.
My question: Should I have waited longer?
My last screen:
BIOS management/ Do not turn off the computer etc.
New BIOS image is checked
Block 2048/ 2048
Progress 100%
I did turn off the notebook (there was no battery) and unplugged it briefly. Removed the USB stick.
After that a screen appeared and the image was written. A second screen appeared saying something about "Clear TPM" with two choices.
I chose F1 (Accept), then Windows started.
Thanks & have a nice day
