You're very welcome.

In that situation I don't believe that you have any choice except to purchase a new memory chip.

You can install up to 2 x 16 GB of memory in your notebook.

8 GB

Hi:

If you can get into Windows, run the Windows memory diagnostic utility and it will let you know in less than 10 seconds if your PC has a defective memory chip that needs to be replaced.

You can follow the same procedure in W10

How to Run Memory Diagnostics Tool in Windows 7 - YouTube

The only problem is...if you have more than one memory chip, the test will not tell you which one is no good.

In order to isolate the defective memory chip, you will need to remove one of the two chips and run the notebook off the one memory chip and run the test.

If the test finds no errors, then remove that chip and replace it with the first one you removed.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure.
