Hi
motherboard (mb) failed and I managed to get a new old stock mb of the same spec. Obviously with this failure I couldn’t reactivate the window 10 on the SSD so when I start the laptop up I get some spurious messages like boot device not found, install an operating system on your HD. I can get to diagnostics and test the components and it says the HD passed along with everything else. The other thing is it doesn’t have a serial number in the diagnostics or the laptop type.
it’s also says the machine is not in a committed state?
The swap over went well. Getting into the diagnostics is instant now - before it took about 5mins so fingers crossed someone can help me with these little problems……and I know what some will say….a little knowledge is dangerous but I’ve got to give it a try!😉
kind regards
M
