I have gotten help re-installing Windows, done it a few times. But still have someone getting on my machine.

How do I wipe and re-install the BIOS? A very good hacker got access, in person, to multiple machines at our workplace.

I randomly get someone playing with my laptop when I'm online.

Any ideas here? Thanks!

@GotInfluence

If your BIOS is hacked you would not see anything like you describe???

A BIOS 'HACK" only gathers memory data and does not interact with the operating system.

You may want to look at your Bulletins and Notices:

Run any Virus Protection software you have:

Thanks, I think. I'm not sure where you're sending me. This is a page with 21 bulletins linked on it.

If you are worried about being hacked there are updates to fix vulnerabilities to the CPU, TPM and others:

Like the first one in the list:

HPSBHF03573 rev. 14 - Side-Channel Analysis Method

A vulnerability has been disclosed with modern CPU architecture referred to as side-channel analysis or speculative execution. Researchers have nicknamed the vulnerabilities “Spectre” and “Meltdown”. The result of exploits could potentially lead to loss of sensitive information.

Okay, I downloaded the BIOS updates.

This person still has access to my machine. There are like little bubbles floating up and down the left side of the screen and it's locked up - no touch screen, no mouse, no keyboard. So I can only hold down the power button to shut down, then re-start.

This is really strange.
