Tonight I restarted my PC and it began to perform an update and it's been stuck on this screen for over an hour now!! It clearly states not to power off or unplug the computer while its in update mode, but it appears that I don't have a choice... What should I do? How do I fix this..I need my computer!!!

Thanks for the update. Try the steps listed below to try and fix the issue:
 

  1. Press and hold the power button on the computer until the computer shuts off.

  2. With the power off, disconnect the power cord from the back of the computer.

  3. With the power off and the power cord disconnected, press the power button on the computer for 5 seconds. The power light indicator on or near the power button might turn on briefly but then go out.

  4. Reconnect the power cord and turn on the power.

Alternatively, perform a hard reset on your PC to get this issue fixed. Here are the steps listed below:
