Hp spectre x 360 15-df0002no
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The notebook will not start up after it was closed down due to low battery. Connecting power adapter does not help. The start button flushes blue all the time even when i close the cover. No noise. Black screen..

The small lamp close to the  HDMI connection is black.

i have tried the 15 sec reset method.

Hi

The problem is solved, bu no thanks to HP answer.

It was very tricky to solve this by Reading suppport pages

1. Almost impossible to read Product number even with magnifying glasses

2. Hard to find the manual for model. I had to compare a couple of models in one  manual lto find one similar to mine.

3. No solution could be found neither in the manual or in the robotchat although the symptons were very clear

4. The suggestion from HP is not very good. I don´t have the right tools, I don't want to loose  any information. Besides

from that I don' kow if I have a removable battery and I cannot find (in the manual) how to open the case

5. Following the robotchat is not simple. I have to choose wether I have a notebok, a laptop or a convertible.

HP sometimes call my Spectre and sometimes a convertible. I thought it is a Laptop.

The solution is simple: Remowe the poweradaptor and leave the Laptop until all lamps are black. The battery is now

emptied. Connect the poweradaptor and the laptop will start as usual. Cheap, simple and no information lost

@Frisen Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the HP Spectre Will, not a startup.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Please perform the below steps and check.

Hard Reset:

1) Shutdown the computer.

2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.

3) Remove the Battery. ( not for Built-in Battery computer )

4) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.

5) Plug-in the Adapter and put the Battery back into the computer if it's a (removable battery)

6) Try to turn on the computer and check, If the issue persists continue next step

Set BIOS default and restart:

  1. Restart your notebook.
  2. During startup, press F10 repeatedly until the BIOS menu is displayed.
  3. Once the BIOS menu is displayed, press F9 to restore factory defaults.
  4. Select Yes to confirm.
  5. Press F10 to save changes and exit.
  6. Select Yes to confirm.
  7. The computer restarts using the default settings.
