Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi Team,

I am Vivek. I am using my HP laptop since last approx. 4 years. And, it's been a worthwhile experience! 🙂

However, sice you all know in this pandemic IT people are working from home and due to this the usage of our personal laptop is being increased.

Since last one month I am facing an strange issue in which my HP laptop shuts down unexpectedly without giving a warning message when the battery is lower than 15% or 20%.

I have tried all suggestions and options found on the internet or from HP support website but no luck!

Can you please suggest what is the exact issue here and what is causing this?

Also, suggest the most accurate and feasible solution for this issue.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer shuts down when the battery reaches 15-20% without any warning.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

If you continue facing the issue, then run a test on the battery following the steps in the below article.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
