Notebook stream
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

Hello!

I've started having problems with my notebook getting stuck while starting up.

It will show th Hp logo, turn grey, and restart.

I've tried a TON of things, mostly relating to the bios.

Sometimes a message will appear, talking about the CMOS.

According to posts I've read, it doesn't exist in this type of notebook.

I fixed it! So, what I did was: take a copy of windows, delete the drives with the old copy, and reinstall windows.

It took time, but finally I heard Cortana's voice coming from the computer.

All I had to do after that was set everything up.

(Please note that none of my personal data survived.)

Thanks for all your help!

When was the last time the computer was working fine?

Around July 2017.

Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?

I was having issues with a error called DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION and I was trying to fix it, so I did a full PC wipe that failed. A few more spaced attempts and this happened

Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

I have done bios resets, bios updates, resets, wiki, and have taken apart the computer only to put it back together.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm currently working on getting a USB reset done.
