Hi, i got a problem. My latop (HP Pavilion x2 - 10-n140nw) cant start. I dont know what is the issue, beacause i changed the mother board so i think it's not a problem with BIOS. When I connect it to the charger the battery light is normally in amber color (so its charging) ,but when I disconnect it the diod blinks. Pressing and holding power button starts the sequence of blinking, when laptop stays a little longer, so its not the power button problem also (probably). I hope somebody could help me. Greetings.
P.S. The problem was there even before the motherboard change

Hi @Jarmak,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that your HP Pavilion x2 isn't starting. Let's try some troubleshooting steps to see if we can identify and resolve the issue.
Check Power Source and Battery: Ensure that the device is properly connected to a power source and that the battery is charged. If the battery is completely drained, it might take a few minutes of charging before the device turns on.
Power Button: Sometimes, the power button might be stuck or not responding properly. Press the power button firmly, but not too forcefully, to see if it turns on.
Hard Reset: If the device appears to be unresponsive, try performing a hard reset. To do this, follow these steps:
- Disconnect any external peripherals (like USB devices, chargers, etc.).
- Hold down the power button for about 15 seconds. This should force the device to shut down.
- Wait a few seconds, and then press the power button again to turn it on.
External Display: If you have been using an external display, disconnect it and try turning on the laptop again. Sometimes, display settings can affect the startup process.
BIOS Reset: In some cases, a BIOS reset might help. To perform a BIOS reset, you would typically need to access the BIOS menu (usually by pressing a key like F2, F10, or Delete during startup) and look for an option to restore default settings.
Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the laptop for any signs of physical damage, such as cracks, dents, or loose components. Physical damage might prevent the laptop from starting properly.
Try a Different Power Adapter: If you suspect that the power adapter might be faulty, try using a different one if available.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
