Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
A few days ago I tried switching on my laptop but it didn't start up. The only light that showed was the led that showed it was charging when I plugged in the power cable (the led turned white when the battery was fully charged). With the full charge I tried switching it on but it didn't even blink.
The laptop's only a few months old and it was working perfectly the day before.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If the power adapter is connected, what color is the led?

Is it a solid color or is it blibking?

hard reset:

Try both of the following

Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.

Press and hold the power and mute buttons for 15 seconds.

The led color was solid when the adapter was connected.
I tried both of the hard reset options but it still doesn't work.

I mean  when you connect it now.

What is the color and is it solid or blinking?

Now, it's a solid amber

That means that it is charging.

If it is solid white, then it is fully charged.

It should charge to full within a couple of hours if it is turned off.

If it does not, that means there is a problem. This is an issue that wil require warranty service. Use the following link to access support options.

It did change to solid white after a few hours. What do I do now?
HP Recommended

It should start after a hard reset.

If it does not, its time to contact HP for warranty service.

See my previous post for the links to contact HP.

I have asked to have your issue escalated.
