@SummerD25, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

I'm sorry to hear that your HP laptop is experiencing issues with rebooting itself. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and fix the problem:

Check for Hardware Issues: Ensure that all hardware components, such as RAM and hard drive, are properly connected. Loose connections can cause rebooting issues.

Overheating: Overheating can cause a laptop to reboot. Make sure your laptop is well-ventilated, clean the fan, and check that the vents are not blocked.

Boot into Safe Mode: Reboot your laptop and enter Safe Mode. This might help identify any software issues that could be causing the problem.

Driver Updates: Ensure that all drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause rebooting problems.

Check for Malware: Run a malware check to ensure that no malicious software is causing your laptop to reboot.

Perform System Restore: If the issue started recently, try performing a system restore to a previous point when your laptop was functioning correctly.

Disable Automatic Restart: This can help to diagnose any error messages that occur:

  • Go to Control Panel > System and Security > System.
  • Click on "Advanced system settings."
  • Under the "Startup and Recovery" section, click "Settings."
  • Uncheck "Automatically restart."

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
