My labtop starts but does not continue booting

Migt be a bit dummy question but appreciate all the help i get. Have my labtop start up ok but it doesn't continue booting up and finish starting. So to say when i press power it starts up ok so to say, but the screen is stuck on "hp" i get on start up but it doesn't really continue after that.... I'm wondering if there is something wrong with my charger, it doen' really blink as it should when it's in? Anyone any smarter then me? Could it be that the labtop isn't charging up as it should or is it something else?

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Please run a System Test to confirm the Hardware Functionality

- Shut down the Notebook completely
- Turn it back on, then tap the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup menu screen is displayed.
- Press F2 to select System Diagnostics.
- Click System Tests, then click Extensive Test.
