Hi, I accidently hit my laptop’s left corner and now my laptop is not booting. Caps lock is blinking one time, no beep sound. Fan is working, power button is glowing, network button(f12) is glowing red; there’s just black screen. Can’t enter the bios by pressing esc. What should I do?

@efewinner61

IF you hit the case while the laptop is running, that most likely caused damage to the hard drive and that would prevent the laptop from booting and require a replacement of that drive.

You don't enter the BIOS settings by pressing the Esc key -- that only brings up the HP Startup Menu from which you then press F10 to get into the settings.  Also, you have to press the Esc key repeatedly, over and over, to get it to take.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I hit while my computer is running and my computer closed suddenly. Hard disc lamp (left side of the computer) is not glowing or blinking.

I still can’t enter the bios by pressing esc or f10 key pressing rapidly.

On hp’s website a document says if caps lock is blinking one time source of the issue comes from CPU it says.

Thanks
