Lately my laptop does not wake up from sleep mode. Only very occasionally I press many keys repeatedly for a long time and it finally wakes up, and chances of that happening are very random.
I ran Device Manager under admin permissions like this solution did, but the keyboard did not have any "Power Management" tabs.
I downloaded an AMD driver software like this solution did, but that did not work.

Hi @MusicGuy423,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Pavilion 15 laptop is struggling with waking up from sleep mode, and the typical troubleshooting steps like the Device Manager settings or updating drivers haven't worked.
Here are a few additional suggestions that might help:
Update Power Settings:
- Open Control Panel > Power Options.
- Choose Change plan settings for the active power plan.
- Click Change advanced power settings.
- Expand Sleep, and then ensure that Allow hybrid sleep is set to Off.
- Also, under Power buttons and lid, check if the settings are correct for how the laptop should behave when you press the power button.
Disable Fast Startup:
- Fast Startup can sometimes cause issues with waking up. To turn it off:
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
- Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Scroll down to Shutdown settings and uncheck Turn on fast startup.
- Save the changes.
Check for BIOS Update:
- Sometimes, the issue is related to the BIOS. Visit the HP Support site for your laptop model and see if there’s a newer BIOS version available. Installing a BIOS update can sometimes resolve power-related issues.
Reinstall AMD Graphics Drivers:
- Since your laptop uses AMD graphics, try uninstalling the current graphics drivers completely and then reinstalling the latest version from the official AMD website. Sometimes a fresh driver installation can solve these types of issues.
Check Device Manager for Hidden Power Settings:
- Go to Device Manager, and under Keyboards, Mice and other pointing devices, and Network adapters, right-click each item and select Properties.
- In the Power Management tab (if present), make sure that the option to Allow this device to wake the computer is enabled.
If none of these steps work, it might be worth checking for any pending Windows updates that could address power issues or even performing a System Restore to a point before the issue started.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
