Hi @Chandana31_12

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the concern. If the laptop starts normally but the screen freezes within a few minutes and continues to do so even after multiple forced shutdowns, let's identify whether this is related to Windows, a driver, or hardware.

To help narrow this down, could you share:

  1. What is the exact HP laptop model?
  2. Which operating system are you using (Windows 10 or Windows 11)?
  3. Does the laptop completely freeze (mouse and keyboard do not respond), or is only the screen frozen?
  4. Does the freeze happen even when you are not opening any applications?
  5. Have there been any recent Windows updates, BIOS updates, or driver updates before the issue started?
  6. When the laptop freezes, do any lights remain on (power light, Caps Lock key, etc.)?
  7. Are you able to start the laptop in Safe Mode, or does it freeze there as well?

If possible, also let us know whether the laptop feels unusually warm or if the fan becomes very loud before the freeze occurs. This will help us provide the most appropriate troubleshooting steps.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
