Microsoft Windows 11

My Envy 360 is completely dead. I've plugged multiple different chargers in, but I don't get the charging light. No power whatsoever. It's only a couple of months old! I have no idea what to try.

Hi @Matt476,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Envy x360 laptop is completely dead. There is no charging light when plugged in, but there are a few steps we can try to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue.

May I know

Do you see an HP Logo when you try to turn on the unit and then the screen goes blank or blue screen, If Blue screen Have observed any error message?

Or the unit is not turning On at all

Steps to Troubleshoot:

Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the laptop from the charger.
  • Press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.
  • Release the button, reconnect the charger, and attempt to power on the laptop.

Check for Physical Damage:

  • Inspect the charging port for any visible damage or debris.
  • Ensure the charging cable and adapter are not damaged. Since you’ve already tried multiple chargers, this is less likely to be the issue.

Test a Different Power Outlet:

  • Try plugging the charger into a different wall outlet. Sometimes, the issue can be with the power source rather than the laptop or charger.

Check for Bent Pins:

  • In the charging port, check if there are any bent or misaligned pins. If you see any, avoid trying to force a charger in as it can cause further damage.

Inspect the Charging Adapter:

  • Ensure the correct voltage and current output of the adapter match the requirements of your laptop. Using a lower-power charger can sometimes prevent charging.

BIOS Reset:

  • If the laptop had any residual power, resetting the BIOS could help, but since it's completely unresponsive, you may need a professional assessment.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
