HP Spectre x360 13.5 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ef2000 (771X1AV)

Hello, I was studying on my laptop and left it for a couple of minutes, as usual the screensaver went off and the laptop screen went black. After about ten minutes I wanted to continue studying but the laptop was not turning on, when I press the power button the white light goes off for a second but then nothing happens and when I plug in the charger the light that usually goes off to indicate that it’s charging didn’t appear. Can someone please help

Hi @Zahraa44,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your laptop that is not powering on.

Perform a power drain on your PC.

1) Unplug the power cord from the PC & wall.

2) Disconnect the power cable from the AC adapter if it is a detachable part and keep it aside.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the AC adapter, then connect it to the wall and to the charging port on your PC.

5) Power on the PC and check if it boots into Windows now.

Kindly refer to the steps on this link to further troubleshoot and let me know if that resolves the issue.

I have tried everything I was able to find on YouTube and here. Well, everything except opening it and exposing the battery, I don’t wanna open it on my own. Nothing worked

I had the same issue on my Hp Envy 16-h0000.  I was using my laptop for a web meeting and I powered off for 7 hours. And it won't turn on at all. I tried every method that possible to wake my PC again but no luck.
When I checked the LED indicator right next to the charging port there was no light on.

My warranty was still active, so I decided to send my laptop to the HP repair service. After 10 days I got my laptop back from repair service and I checked the documents that indicated that they performed the repair by replacing the cooling fan and the updated BIOS. Since my laptop is brand new I was curious that my cooling fan goes bad so quickly and I Googled what possible cause the issue with it. I saw a couple of people complaining about a similar issue when they were using a laptop stand with the angle for almost everyday. I was using my laptop with the angled stand and I assumed this was the issue. Since I found the issue with it I decided to remove it from my desk. I only set my laptop on the hard surface since I bought it.
