Hi @MinaBaj,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Restart the Laptop in Safe Mode:
- Restart your laptop.
- During boot, press F8 repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
- Select Safe Mode and press Enter.
Perform a System Restore:
- In Safe Mode, type System Restore in the search bar and select it from the results.
- Follow the prompts to restore your system to an earlier point before the issue occurred.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Check for updates and install any available updates.
Run a System File Checker (SFC) Scan:
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
- Wait for the scan to complete and follow any on-screen instructions.
Update BIOS and Drivers Again:
- If the BIOS update was incomplete, download the latest version from the HP Drivers & Downloads page using another device.
- Ensure all essential drivers are up to date by checking the Device Manager in Safe Mode.
Reset the PC:
- If the above steps do not work, you may need to perform a system reset.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Reset this PC.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your computer. Note that resetting the PC will remove all personal files, so ensure you have backed up your data.
I hope this helps.
