HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-eu0000 (267R4AV)

I took it to Best Buy Geek Squad and they diagnosed a motherboard failure. I am one week beyond my warranty. Can I get some help?

Hi @Bbudd1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that your HP ENVY x360 laptop is not starting. There could be several reasons why this is happening. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to try and identify the issue.

  • Check the power source: Make sure that your laptop is connected to a power outlet and the charger is securely plugged in. Also, verify that the power outlet is working properly by connecting another device to it.
  • Power reset: Perform a power reset by disconnecting the charger, removing the battery (if it's removable), and holding down the power button for about 15 seconds. Then, reconnect the charger (or reinsert the battery) and try turning on the laptop again.
  • Display issues: Sometimes, the laptop may appear to not start because of a problem with the display. Try connecting an external monitor to your laptop using an HDMI cable to see if there is any output on the external display. If you see a display on the external monitor, the issue might be with your laptop's screen.
  • Battery issues: If your laptop has a non-removable battery, try plugging in the charger and leaving it connected for a while. Sometimes, a drained battery can prevent the laptop from turning on immediately. If you have a removable battery, you can try removing it and then connecting the charger directly to see if the laptop powers on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
