My laptp is showing Boot Device Not found ,how can i solve it

You should first let us know what the product or model number of the machine is

Usually this indicates that the Hard Drive has failed and needs to be replaced. Then reinsall the OS.

You can try running test at boot and see if the drive has a hardware problem.

Turn off the PC by holding the power button until complete shutdown.

Turn on the PC and repeatedly press ESC until startup menu appears.

Press F2 to enter diagnostics.

Try performing the fast system test (or hard drive test) and see if there are any failure ids.

I have a hp 2000 notebook PC and when run test for hard drive check it shows smart check not installed and short dst not installed what do my kid needs his notebook for school and I can't afford another one any help would be much appreciated thank you guys and wemon
