Greetings - I'm after the HP System Board Configuration Utility for HP 15-AC106NA laptops - I can't seem to find the right version & HP are telling me it needs to be sent to them 😞
A windows 10 update has gone screwy on it (user interrupted it mid install) and now it says the system board CT number is missing on start-up....
I'm a commercial workshop IT tech & have done this fix many times on other models but not being able to find the right utility for this model is very annoying!

Welcome to HP Forums @old-abel-marley,
I see you looking to know which version of HP System Board Configuration Utility is required to install the BIOS on the computer. I would like to provide my suggestion.
Recommend you to contact our phone support and let the representative know that the product information is missing in BIOS and they should be able to provide you the service options available.
BIOS version available for your computer is F.21 Rev.A
Also, you can refer to this HP Forums post for suggestions.
Hope this answered your question.
If the information I've provided was helpful,
Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
That’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!
Good Luck.

Hello and thank you for your input.
The laptop is a month out of warranty and we are wanting to keep the cost of the repair down for the user - hence attempting to source the correct tool to remedy the issue.
The laptop we think had a corrupted BIOS and installing the latest version has not solved the issue(s) - missing product info and battery not charging when switched on/logged in, only when off.
The customer can't afford to pay for an expensive repair option.
Is there not a way I can have the config utility to solve the issue?

@old-abel-marley, thanks for the response and time.
Since this a consumer laptop, HP does not provide an option to edit the BIOS config utility.
You have to send the unit in for depot repair for service options.
Hope this helps!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂
