I'd set my Admin PW and can't remember what I'd set it to. Most recent Bios code is 11C9BF13. Planning to erase the password. If Proof of Purchase needed, please let me know and send me a PM.

Thanks

Hi,

Your notebook is producing a hexadecimal halt code which is stored in ram as a 'one off' and will be re-calculated after a reboot.  This indicates you have one of the later AMI bios's and unfortunately none of the current code generators will work for this - surprisingly, you can still remove a power on password from the machine by removing the rtc cell ( leave the power board connected ) then hold down the power button for 60 seconds before re-inserting the rtc.

The bad news is that the rtc is on the 'wrong' side of the system board so will require quite a lot of disassembly - see Page 92 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.

Regards,

Sorry, but not sure how my location pertains to this.

However, yes. I am looking to reset my admin password

In this  case if you want to reset your BIOS admin password we are going to provide you some steps please follow these and let us know if it helps:

To reset the password, unplug the PC, open the cabinet and remove the CMOSbattery for approx. 15-30 minutes and then put it back. It'll reset all BIOS settings as well as the password and you'll need to re-enter all settings. If it fails, then try to remove the battery for at least one hour.

The issue with that solution, as I've tried googling, is there is no way to open the casing safely.

Is there any other possible way to reset it? Unfortunately, I don't have a screwdriver small enough for the screws fastening the keyboard to the frame. If you have any possible way to do it, that'd be great. (Obviously aside from trial and error) Or if you have any suggestions on how to remove those two screws without a screwdriver, that'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,

I would really like to suggest anything other than the correct screwdriver to remove the screws as the last thing you want is to damage the profile of the screw heads - is there any chance you could borrow the required tool?
