For that model and (HEX) code you will need to contact HP in your region and they should be able to generate your Master code from your “SYSTEM DISABLED CODE”

When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.

I have also heard that some have had success removing the RTC/BIOS battery???

Yes, thank you for your reply.  I am having trouble locating the BIOS battery.  That was what i originally intended to do first.

Any ideas on where it might be located?  Any help is much appreciated.

I was able to remove it and then I put it back and the system went back to the bios password screen.  Did i maybe miss a step?  I did press Windows+B to install BIOS, but upon restart it take me back to the BIOS Password screen again.  Any other suggestions that I can try before reching out to customer support

I was also wondering.  The manual shows an SSD optional upgrade.  It shows and M.2 SSD as an option.  Is it a direct connect or is there special boards or parts needed also?
