HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d5000 (4V9Y3AV)

My HP is only months old. HP Assistant told me to run a battery check, said my battery functioning well but needed to be calibrated. I had no options to do that thru my computer or on HP Assistant so I unplugged it and let it drain like I read online to do. Now my battery won't charge and now it says I have battery failure and it needs to be replaced! It's a built in battery and it was reading working fine until I did what it said and now it's messed up! I'm angry, can I get suggestions. Is there something special I should be
