I have Windows 10 Pro running & completely configured.  Have shrunk Drive C:\  to provide space to configure Linux Mint  /  Dual Boot.  LM is capable of running side by side just fine, including UEFI & Secure Boot.  I've configured many with no issues.  This machine however LM displays message that the drive is using BitLocker Drive Encryption and warns continuing will create problems.  Although I didn't think it would help I rebooted back in to Win 10 & turned off BitLocker service.  As expected - No Joy.  I don't how to turn off BitLocker - PRE WINDOWS BOOT.  I cannot find anything in the BIOS or online.

Any Help greatly appreciated,

Douglas Swinhart

It's not that simple -- as BitLocker is enabled through a TPM chip on the motherboard, and in order to turn it OFF, I believe you would first have to DECRYPT your drive -- which you can't do while Windows is running, and I don't believe you can do that from Linux.

I ran into a similar issue with a new HP laptop but I was able to decrypt the DATA volume and it only took a few seconds -- and I made an image backup of it using Macrium Reflect prior to the operation just in case it failed.  But I don't want to experiment with the OS volume, as I need the laptop to work.
