No Boot Device Found, then No Hard Disk Error messages on my son's 2 1/2 year old Notebook (Model 15-bs076nr), we had no opportunity to make a clone or back-up files. (Diagnostic query repeatedly found no HD, so...) Replaced (pre-installed) WD 1TB HDD with a new WD SSD, but it had no operating system or drives installed (Windows 10 was on the old HDD, BIOS settings says ios is 12.1.4). New hard drive is recognized and passes tests, but NO BOOT DEVICE FOUND error message continues to pop up. I went to the Windows site to purchase/download the Media Recovery files but when I enter the serial # for the laptop it says there are no media disks for this model. I assume I have to get Media Creation files or tools to get the Operating System back on here, correct? Here's another suggestion/question: I bought two(2) of these laptops at the same time, one for my daughter, one for my son. Can I do something with my daughter's laptop to clone/transfer her good files from her old HDD to the other laptop with the new SSD? Am I even on the right path? (FYI - I don't want to offend any of you by acting like I know what I'm doing from my Crash Course into Computer repair, I'm a quick learner but DEFINITELY nowhere near where you folks are. I appreciate all that you folks do and the knowledge that you have!)

Hello,
Please use HP Cloud Recovery Tool to create a USB recovery drive, proceeding as follows from another computer.
- Download and Install HP Cloud Recovery Tool.
- Run HPCRT (Run as administrator), then click Next.
- Check the box I need to enter Product ID for my HP system.
- Type the following Product ID: 1KV03UA#ABA (do not forget the country code and the # symbol between the product number 1KV03UA and the country code ABA).
- Click on Next, then select your USB drive from the drop-down list and finally click on Next.
- Click OK or Yes, then follow the instructions on the screen and wait for the creation time.
Afterwards, please launch the HP system recovery, following the instructions in Step 4: Recover the system from the HP link from point 1 on your HP Notebook 15-bs076nr.
Do not hesitate to contact us in case of need.
Best regards,
