Hello!
I recently bought a new laptop for my job. The laptop doesn't need to be/do anything special but it looks like when it was set back to default settings, they took the OS with it. On boot up, a screen that reads:
"Boot device not found
Please install an OS on your HD.
Hard disk (3FO)
F2 System Diagnostics
For more info, please visit: www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup"
I have tried looking on Uncle Google and have found no helpful tips. If you could help me just get it to where it's useable, that would be great! I would like to avoid any costly repairs, if possible.
Thank you!

Hi:
If it is just a case of a missing operating system, you can do this:
Use the HP cloud recovery tool to reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use the utility.
HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Customer Support
Since you have to use the utility on another PC, you will need to enter your PC's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed to make the recovery media.
Your PC's product number is: 9VK98UA#ABA
