HP Stream
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I just bought a used/refurbished HP Stream 11.6" laptop off of eBay, and it looks to be in really good shape, no scratches, etc, and basically looks brand new. It came in today, and it was packaged right where I don't think it would be damaged in the shipping process.

Anyway, I took it out of the box and plugged it in to get it set up and go to turn it on, only, it won't turn on. A light comes on when I plug the battery in, but nothing pops up when I press the power button and no power light comes on. I have messaged the seller, to see what they say, and I'm going to give it an hour or two, but chances are, it's going right back to where it came from.

I had an HP stream before, until I upgraded to a bigger HP laptop when I ran out of space when I was in college, but now, I wanted to go back to it because it was smaller, and my current laptop's battery is screwed up (I sent it back and they've replaced the battery under warranty, now this one is messing up), and this current laptop has been dropped, milk split on it and the whole nine yards.

But, I really wanna try to get this new one to turn on before I send it back. Any tips?

I understand what you want to do -- but with refurbished PCs, the warranty rests with the seller, not with HP -- so if you have a chance to return it for a refund or exchange, you should do that because they don't provide the latitude that HP does.
