New (weeks old) HP ENVY 17 laptop will not turn on

Purchased an HP ENVY 17 laptop for school less than a month ago. Worked fine until a few days ago, when it suddenly wouldn't turn on. When charging, the charge light was initially orange, then switched to white, but no change in the response (re: lack thereof) to pushing the power button or any other key. There's no screen response, and I don't hear any whirring or beeping of something trying to start. I can't get a reaction out of it, with one exception: when the device is plugged in, the charge light goes on (when unplugged, it's dark). If the device is plugged in, and the power button is held down, the charge light begins to blink steadily and slowly on and off. But that's it. Nothing else. Any tips? Suggestions? Should I return it? Bring it to a geek squad? A priest? Let me know; anything you got is appreciated.
