Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I faces these issues on the first day of getting this new laptop.

The first boot is fine, until I installed the windows update and restart the system, the computer keep loading at the HP logo scene (as shown in below figure) for hours.

I have tried to reset the system ( removed everything and installed a new windows), update the BIOS (and roll back the BIOS since it does not help), runned every  HP diagnosis (all results show: Passes), but the problem remains the same.

After I reset the computer, some HP features are no longer functioning (HP command center is not responding when I press the F12 key, and HP support assistant which is supposed to come with the newly reset windows are missing while other HP application are installed).

I'm trying to reset the computer (again), and now it trap at the HP logo screen for 3 hours... The dotted circle is running, so I'm not sure if the installation/resetting is running in the background, or it is just simply running in boot loop...

This is frustrating as this happens on the first day of getting the laptop.this is my first HP laptop, and  I'm not sure what's the causes of this issue. Hope to find someone who can help here.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Firstly, let's perform Hard Reset: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8. (do not skip any troubleshooting steps even if you feel steps are repeating)

BIOS default:

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer and complete the installation.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
