Today while i was using my computer i got a BSOD, which after a restart it refused to boot. When i checked the BIOS settings it seemed like the computer didn't recognize the drive at all, but when i changed the SSD for my old HDD, it quickly recognized it.
So i quickly installed Linux on the HDD and plugged the SSD with a help of a SATA2USB adapter to see if i could see a problem, and the disk actually got recognized. I was able to retrieve S.M.A.R.T data from the disk using hdparm, and ran extensive test on the SSD and it completed without errors. When i checked the security i saw my disk ATA Locked, and this is because i have been using the DriveLock feature, but somehow i don't get the DriveLock prompt when i try booting with the SSD in.
I know my DriveLock password and my BIOS password, and if i can get the prompt i am sure that i will be able to unlock it.
How can i fix this?
