HP ProBook x360 11 G1 EE
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am having an issue with a ProBook, as of now when I plug it into the ac adapter. The power light comes on and is white in color. The "F2" key sometimes gives 2 quick orange/amber flashes or if I hold the power button down up to 15 seconds. The power light stays the same but the "F2" key stays lit as well color is orange/amber.

Nothing comes up on the screen. At any time. This happened during a bios update well after the update.

I have read this article https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-probook-x360-11-g1-ee-notebook-pc/13414389/model/13414396/do... and followed the directions it does not change anything.

The bios package does NOT have the option or gui "HP BIOS Update and Recovery" menu or option. If you proceed it says this bios is not for this unit.

I did try to borrow said utility from a bios package that had it and got it to write to USB drive but due to internal config file, it was not correct.

I formatted a USB drive putting the latest bios binary in the root directory as well in folders "Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\new" and "EFI\HP\BIOS\new" but it did no good. I also did the same thing with the USB drive formatted as a boot disk and a EFI (GPT) boot disk to no avail.

I tried several key combinations with each tru. win + B, Win + V, ESC, F2, F10 etc.

Does the power and F2 lights mean anything? Is there a new way to invoke a BIOS recovery or key combo and new way to create a USB BIOS recovery drive?

I am to the point of just buying a new Winbond 25Q64FWIQ IC and replacing the chip. But that also means a new burner for the 1.8v chip and more headaches. I was hoping my research skills have fallen off and I do not have a "special" hard to fix case.

Thank you for your any help.
