After disabling hyperthreading my laptop would not boot.
I have tried resetting cmos by disconnecting the rtc battery for 5 minutes and it didn't change anything

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

Removing the CMOS battery in laptops has no effect -- as you have discovered.

I'm presuming you disabled HyperThreading in the BIOS/UEFI -- although I am puzzled to understand WHY you would want to do this!

Try pressing the Esc key repeatedly while rebooting to see if you can then get a UEFI menu that will allow you to get into Settings and turn HT back on.

If you can't get to that UEFI menu, then you have basically "bricked" your laptop!
