HP ProBook 4540s
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have a Toshiba laptop that have Windows 8 on it. The screen broke and I removed the HD and insert it on a HP ProBook 4540s but boot error encountered as "No boot Device found". I did HD diagnostic test but no errors found. I boot into BIOS and change the boot order from UEFI to Legacy and vice versa but no luck at all.

I then insert the HD back to Toshiba laptop and worked perfectly. I removed it again and insert it on the HP ProBook 4540s and giving the same boot message.

How will that hard drive boot normally on the HP laptop?

"No boot device found" is usually an indication of a failed hard drive or a corrupt OS.

You can simply try to reinstall the OS or if the BIOS does not recognize a HDD, replace it with a new drive and OS.

Moreover, ther are more methods that you can try out.
