As soon as I power on my laptop a black screen comes on that says, “No bootable device - - insert boot disk and press any key”. F11 doesn’t respond, I can’t get to System Recovery. F9 Boot Device Options, only gives me the options of “Boot From EFI File” and “Notebook Hard Drive - BJNB4R” I’ve tried F10 BIOS Setup Options, changed the UEFI Boot Order and Legacy Boot Order in every combination and still get the same black screen with the same “No bootable device - - insert boot disk and press any key”. I’ve inserted my Windows 10 usb recovery and the process never finishes, I get another error message. I’ve inserted my Windows 8 an it still won’t boot. I don’t know if Operating System is 32-bit or 64-bit. It just says Factory installed OS Win10.

@Ms_Fayetteville It looks like your device needs an update on the hardware diagnostics tool for the system tests to be available, however, since the device isn't booting up anymore, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options:
follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on "Continue as guest".
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, is yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

@Ms_Fayetteville Welcome to HP Forums!
follow the below steps to resolve this concern:
Step 1: Perform a hard reset (does not affect your personal files)
HP Notebook PCs - Performing a Hard Reset or Forced Reset
Step 2: Restore BIOS default settings
Step 3: Test the hard drive using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI (In your case, Skip to Step 4)
Step 4: Reseat the hard drive (here's a video that shows how to re-seat the drive: Click here (Generic)
Step 5: Perform an HP System Recovery
If none of the above actions resolved the error condition, back up your personal data and then perform an HP System Recovery on the notebook. See one of the following documents for instructions:
Let me know how that pans out,

Thank you @Riddle_Decipher the hard reset or forced reset didn’t work. I watched the video attached and found a video with my exact hp stream 14. Opened it up an I couldn’t identify the hard drive to reset. I’ve attached pictures. The option for system recovery didn’t work either. When I repeatedly press F11, it doesn’t recognize it. The black screen still appears with that same no bootable device message.

@Ms_Fayetteville I appreciate the details, could you perform step 3, or use the below steps to run an extensive hardware test on the device:
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
- Click Extensive Test.
- Click Run once, or Loop until error.
- While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component display on the screen.
- If a component fails a test, write down the failure ID (24-digit code) for when you respond back to us.
