Netbook Mini 110-3000

Help please! I have a netbook mini 110-3000 series (with no disk drive) and it wont boot into Windows (7). It keeps telling me

NO BOOTABLE DEVICE- INSERT DISK AND PRESS ANY KEY

I ordered a new hard drive because from what I read on another site, it was shot.

Same issue. I did a test on hard disk & memory and they passed. I also tried a hard restart. I have no idea what to do next.

Hi

The manuals are here...

Now if there is no bootable device I would check the BIOS ....

CMOS/RTC battery and Boot Sequence.

If in doubt please ask.

Hello, thanks for the quick reply. I did check the battery (the 3v) and it seems to be fine. Just in case though I did put a brand new one in. I'm still not sure exactly what to do. I looked at your picture for the boot options, and it is slightly different from mine. I'll attach a picture of my boot options.  Any thoughts? Thanks much, I appreciate any help you can give me!

Hi

The "triangle" is a drop down menu.

So

   ˃ BOOT ORDER

   ˅  BOOT ORDER

should expand much like my piccy (assuming the character set is supported).

You're right, I have gone into that, and this is what it is.

So using F5/F6 I would make the NoteBook Hard Drive the 3rd in the sequence as my personal choice.

It adds a few seconds to the BOOT time, but that is the least of your worries, and can be changed back.

W7 can have problems with booting from USB, and DVD is preferable.

W10 should work from either quite happily.

Now you should be able to boot from almost any Recovery Media that you have.

What DVD/USB bootable devices do you have, can you create?

I want to establish that the PC will work, and the reason for the error message is not the Main Board itself.
