I try to boot from a cd/dvd. However, the option to boot from cd is not showing up in the boot manager, although I enabled it in bios. It doesn‘t help either to change the boot order. My laptop doesn‘t seem to be willing to boot from a cd. What can I do to sort this out?

Btw the dvd I inserted in the optical drive is fine and bootable. When I use it with a different laptop everything works.

Thanks for any help advance!A8BE68D5-3B0B-44DE-AB79-62C75BD79B21.jpeg7BB9E8E5-16F3-4548-ACA2-420097365E5C.jpeg

Hi:

If your notebook's BIOS has a legacy mode option, you need to enable Legacy mode in order to boot from a DVD.

Hi Paul, thanks for your reply!

I have disabled secure boot, but the problem remains. Is there anything else I could try?

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions for you to try.
