My PC crashed yesterday and displayed the below error message on restart.
After running the disk cheking utility I got the following...
I've run through the recommended steps, hard reset and restoring BIOS defaults but I'm still having the same problem. My PC works intermittently but I'm concerned that this is a hardware problem.
Could someone advise please.
Thanks

You're welcome. 🙂
Glad to hear that the laptop is working fine. However, I suggest you to backup your important data to an external hard drive or a flash drive as a safety precaution.
Sometimes, if it is a minor problem then the computer has the tendency to fix it by itself. But it is difficult to make any speculations if the issue will reoccur again. I suggest you to keep using the laptop and keep us posted for any further queries.
Good luck and have a great week ahead!

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP Spectre x360 series laptop. I read that the laptop does not boot into Windows and displays a hard disk 3F0 error.
It could be an issue with the hard drive controller on the motherboard where the hard drive connects. However, I suggest you to perform the following steps to fix the issue:
- Power off the laptop.
- Remove the battery out. If the battery is integrated and does not have a latch to release it then leave the battery inside the laptop.
- Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.
- Power ON the laptop and immediately hit the f10 key repeatedly (7-8 times) to enter the BIOS.
- Once you have reached the BIOS, press the f10 key once and it will prompt you to restore the BIOS defaults. Say yes to that and exit from the BIOS.
These steps should help. However, if the problem persists then I suggest you HP phone support to explore the hardware service options for the laptop.
