I had a charger for my laptop that was constantly giving me the message that the smart charger wasn't working properly. Today, my laptop will not power on and both my power button and caps lock buttons are constantly blinking. I have a different charger now. I've taken the battery out and unplugged the charger, held down the power button for 40 seconds, but immediately upon plugging the charger back in, after putting the battery in, they start blinking again and my laptop won't turn on at all.

Please try a hard reset and see if it works.

  • Power off your laptop,
  • Remove the a/c adapter, battery and everything that is attached to your laptop.,
  • Hold the 'POWER' button down on your laptop for about 10 seconds,
  • Plug in the a/c power supply (without battery) and power on.

Regards.
