Product: HP Notebook - 14-cm0981na

Hello -I hope someone may help as I am struggling to turn on my HP notebook 14".

I turned it on this morning and had no issues checking emails, power and turning off.

This afternoon I tried to turn it on and have not been able to. No lights. No power. I plugged it in and got nowhere and asked virtual assistant and they could not resolve it. Is it time to buy a new one - with no money? Bad timing, mum just died, husband ill and so is the computer.

Does anyone have advice apart from binning it please?
