I just updated my son's desktop computer. The computer will not restart after updating the BIOS. All I get is a blinking white light and it blinks every 8 seconds.

@PoppaJoe1873, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
A blinking white light every 8 seconds on your HP Pavilion 590-p0030 after a BIOS update usually indicates a failed BIOS update or corruption, leaving the system unable to POST (Power-On Self-Test). Here’s how you can recover it:
Basic Hardware Reset
Unplug the power cord.
Hold the power button for 15 seconds to discharge residual electricity.
Disconnect everything except:
Keyboard
Mouse
Monitor
Plug in power and try turning it on again.
BIOS Crisis Recovery (HP BIOS Recovery)
Your HP PC has a built-in BIOS recovery feature.
I suggest you refer to this guide: HP Notebook PCs - Recovering the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) | HP® Support
Also, I suggest you refer to this guide: HP Notebook PCs - Computer beeps or a light blinks during startup | HP® Support
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
