Working fine yesterday but today although been on charge overnight will not switch on - light on, on switch comes on for a few seconds then goes off, screen remains black - had  laptop about 2 years - any one know how I can rectify this please?

Thank you for you help - however I’m afraid it didn’t work 😞 also tried a different charging cable but that makes no difference also - has a built in battery so unable to remove

If you did try everything from the guide but nothing helped, I am afraid you will need to bring your computer (or ship it) to service - HP Authorized service center.

If the computer is still under warranty, you will need to notify HP support first to receive free in-warranty support.

If you are not sure where such a center is located, please contact HP support for assistance in finding one. Here is more info:
