HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15m-es1000 (446V8AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

My laptop is fully charged but it will not turn on when I am using the power button. It worked just fine 2 days ago and I am not sure what the issue is.

Hi @dsMAU,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're using the HP ENVY x360 15m-es1000 (446V8AV) running Windows 11, and your laptop is fully charged but not turning on. Let's walk through some steps that may help resolve this issue.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Perform a Hard Reset:
    • Disconnect the charger and any peripherals.
    • Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
    • Reconnect the charger and try powering it on.

  2. Check Power Indicators:
    • Look for any LED lights near the power button or charging port.
    • If no lights are visible, try a different power outlet or charger.

  3. Inspect the Charger and Port:
    • Make sure the charger is working and the port is clean.
    • Try using a compatible charger if available.

  4. BIOS Recovery (if screen remains black):
    • Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds.
    • Release all keys and wait to see if the BIOS recovery screen appears.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
