The 3 white blinks from the charging LED on your HP laptop typically indicate a power-related issue, often involving the battery, charger, or motherboard power circuit.
Please try the steps shared below:
1. Perform a Hard Reset
- Disconnect the charger and remove the battery (if removable).
- Press and hold the power button for 15–30 seconds.
- Reconnect the charger (without the battery) and try powering on.
2. Try a Different HP Charger
- Use a known-good HP charger that matches your laptop’s voltage and wattage.
- Faulty or incompatible chargers can cause this blinking pattern.
3. Check for Physical Damage
- Inspect the charging port and charger tip for dust, damage, or looseness.
- If the port is damaged, service may be required.
