Hi @Bixonos,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing a persistent BIOS issue with your HP Pavilion 15-cs3019nl notebook. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:

1. Reset BIOS to Default Settings:

  • Power on your notebook and press the F10 key repeatedly as soon as you see the HP logo.
  • This should take you into the BIOS setup utility.
  • Look for an option to Load Setup Defaults or Reset to Default and select it.
  • Save the changes and exit the BIOS.

2. Update the BIOS:

  • Visit the HP Support website and enter your notebook's model number to find the latest BIOS update.
  • Download the BIOS update file.
  • Follow the instructions provided by HP for updating the BIOS. Be cautious to ensure the battery is charged and the notebook is plugged in during this process.

3. Check the CMOS Battery:

  • The CMOS battery retains BIOS settings. If it's failing, the BIOS may reset every time you turn off the laptop.
  • If you're comfortable, you could open the back cover and check the CMOS battery. If it's removable, consider replacing it.

4. Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the notebook and disconnect the power adapter.
  • Remove the battery if it's removable.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge any remaining power.
  • Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then turn on the notebook.

5. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics: HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures

  • Turn off the notebook, then turn it back on and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
  • Press F2 to select System Diagnostics.
  • Run the diagnostics for Memory and Hard Drive to check for any hardware issues.

6. Check for Hardware Issues:

  • If the problem persists, there may be a hardware issue, such as a faulty motherboard.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
