Somehow I believe I somehow kicked off Recovery Manager through an HP Diagnostics Option. I did not think anything of it until I needed to reboot today. Now my Notebook keeps rebooting into HP Recovery Manager. How can I get round this? The only options are:
Troubeshoot (Reset your PCV or see Advanced Options)
Turn off your PC
I go round and round ... there is no option just to stop and biot to Windows

Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. This will open a menu where F2 System Diagnostics is an option. Tap F2 key and run the tests.

So I ran all the tests and it all passes so what next. When I exit Recovery Manager it does exactly the same. I have tried to go to Restore Points in Windows but everything fails and the only option that has worked is back up my data. It will allow me to restore my notebook to factory condition which appears to be rather a drastic state of affairs.
The backup option allowed me to browse my disk partitions and all my directories so everything appears to be intact. There must be some method of disablinh HP Recovery Manager starting on bootup and get back to my Windows Boot Partition??? Surely??

In the end the only option I had was to restore the laptop back to factory default and re-install Windows. It did not install Recvover Manager Boot (I am thinking that's a good thing after my experience) to directly restore my data. However, the Recover exe in the Bin file on my external hard drive allowed me to do that.
The whole process to get back to where I was before this all started was 3 elapsed days which included Microsoft having to get involved and remoting in to upgrade my Windows 10 Home to Professional because the links through my Upgrade Invoice eMail were broken.
It was not how I wanted to spend last weekend but am grateful that it was not a complete disaster either.
