My laptop has shut off unexpectedly and will not turn back on. The adapter was plugged in and the battery was inside. I also had USB phone charger in the left side slot which I think caused the problem.
I never had this happen before with this laptop. I tried hard resetting but it did absolutely nothing. When I try to turn it on, the internet orange light comes on as well as the power indicator light at the front left bottom corner. They will be on for 5 seconds or indefinitely until I unplug and take battery out. No fans or any sound, just the light. Also the charger light will be on every time I plug in the adapter. I even also left it completely disconnected from charger and battery overnight after holding the power for long periods of time but still no help.
I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this before or know how to fix this. I would very much appreciate the help!
Thanks in advance!

Hi
Hopefully one of these documents will cover (and solve) your problem...

Turn off the computer, and then connect the power cord.
Press and hold the Windows key and the B key at the same time, and then press and hold the power button for 2 to 3 seconds.
Release the Power button but continue pressing the Windows and B keys. You might hear a series of beeps.
The HP BIOS Update screen displays and the recovery begins automatically. Follow any on-screen prompts to continue the startup to complete the recovery.
HP BIOS Update recovery in progress
If the HP BIOS Update screen does not display, repeat the previous steps but press the Windows key and the V key. If the screen still does not display, your computer might not support the feature or there is a hard drive issue. Continue to the next step to install a BIOS recovery file from the HP website.
If the Power light turns off, the Power button was held too long. Repeat the previous steps, making sure to hold the button for only 2 to 3 seconds.

I have tried it but still no fans running or display. There is only the internet light, power light, and charger light.
I have reconnected the battery after leaving it out overnight and the charger light became orange to show that the battery is charging.
Is there something I must do internally to fix it to help it come on all the way? I really need it to work as soon as possible please.
