HP Notebook - 15-ba079dx (Touch) (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I tried factory resetting my computer several times and it just kept giving me errors. Every time i tried at about 3% or 5% it would undo everything and give me a fail error to reset. Until it finally didn't and it seemed to be going good but it went into a restarting loop and HP logo wont even come on. It just seems to be turning off and on. I immediately looked for ways to fix this and tried going to safe mode by turning off and on 3 times but nothing happens. I tried checking if something was wrong with my hard drive and its fine it passed the test. I also checked if BIOS had right time and date then if sequence of boot was right. All this going off of YouTube videos Im not tech savvy what so ever so now Im clueless as to what to do next since nothing seems to be working. If anyone has any points as to what i did wrong and what i can do to fix i would really appreciate it.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer since the factory reset option didn't work, and the hard drive passed the diagnostics test, would be to clean install W10 by making a bootable USB installation flash drive using the media creation tool at the link below.  You will need access to another working Windows PC for this process.

You posted W10 32 bit, but your notebook came with W10 64 bit from HP, so make the 64 bit installation media.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

When you get to the part of the installation process that asks 'Where do you want to install Windows,' delete every partition on the hard drive, leaving just one partition of unallocated space.   Click Next, and W10 should install.

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

Yes i thought 64 bit was the one but was unsure. Thank you for your suggestion i will go ahead and try this and see if it helps. What type of USB does it have to be?

You're very welcome.

You just need a regular USB flash drive but it has to be at least 8 GB in storage size.

Hello @Paul_Tikkanen i went ahead and purchased a 32GB flash drive just to be on the safe side. I followed the steps to download windows 10 on my flash drive. (the download tool) on my working HP Pavilillion.

Went to my HP Notebook and popped up the boot menu by clicking esc several times the f9 to go into boot many the option to boot through usb is there but when i click it it say "the selected boot device failed"....im stuck now i dont know where to go from here

Hi:

See if the media you created boots on the PC you made it on.

You can always cancel out of the installation once the installation screen shows up after the files are loaded.

If it doesn't work, then you know what the problem is.

If it does work unfortunately I would have no idea what the problem could be.

Would you recommend trying to change my boot options. Changing to Legacy and disable secure option?

Yes, definitely give that a try.
